Meadowvale
  • Fantastic swing set and climbing frame which has already provided many hours of fun. It does take a long time to sort the pieces (not aided by a 'helpful' toddler hiding pieces around the garden!) and then assemble (about 6 hours for 2 people, but again interrupted by small humans) but it is absolutely worth the effort. Really recommend chalking the part numbers on the word prior to assembly.

Great Climbing Frame
  • After many weeks of research I decided to purchase this Selwood Climbing frame, even though it had received some negative comments. I'm glad I went with my instinct. The delivery was on the date agreed and on time. The product was quite frankly amazing. All parts present, not even a washer missing. All pre-drilled holes matched up and the final build will entertain my 7,4 and 6 month grandchildren for years to come. The wood quality is of a very high standard. Myself and my wife tried out the two swings together despite the additional weight, they were solid and stable, even before I attached the ground stakes. It looks great in the garden and is big enough to keep the kids entertained (including the 7 year old) for many years. Well done Selwood. Quality product and a very competitive price.

Brilliant buy
  • Bought this for my 3 year old and once built it was fantastic and sturdy and looks great. Delivery was speedy and packaged well. Assembly was a long process but the instructions are detailed and make sense. the best advice I can give is take time to check and mark all the wood pieces at the beginning as the instructions use a code only and some pieces look very similar but are slightly different sizes.

Excellent product
  • Really pleased overall with this product. It took some building but all the parts were well labelled. It was bought for 3 year old twins who were thrilled and are constantly asking to go to Nanny and Grandad's now to play on the 'treehouse'. Ours is set up with 2 swings and a trapeze bar. The climbing wall and climbing net are both sturdy and challenging enough for 3 year olds without being too difficult. My only slight criticism is that as the swings are on ropes, they don't always swing straight which means they could bump into wooden tower next to the one swing as it is very close. The only way to correct this is for it to be designed so that there is a bigger gap between that swing and the tower. The slide is fab as really fast .... children younger than 3 may need a bit of help until they get used to it. Am considering adding a steeeing wheel and/or telescope to the top..... wasn't sure if there would be room so waited until it was built to be sure.

Meadowvale Success
  • Firstly I expected a huge delivery and it came in a long compact box! You need two strong men to lift it to your garden assembly location. Pick a dry day!! It took me and my young son 5 hours to complete.
Firstly make sure you have a flat location for your frame. A point to note is the tower part of the meadowvale is quite light and one man can lift this once assembled into its final position. You can assemble on a flagged patio first. We did.
Read the instructions first. We placed an old blanket on the patio and laid out all bags of screws, bolts and washers down. Don't take anything out of the bags as the bags have a unique number which is referred to in the instructions. Sort out your timber into sections this makes all easy to find later.
Layout on the floor all the parts to assemble, prepare your screws and bolts etc the assemble . Take your time! Don't try and rush things. You will need a helper but one of you need a bit of knowledge. But you'll be fine.
Important note: there is a screw bit included in the pack which you need to put in your cordless screwdriver. Find it first! It's not a Phillips or slotted. You will need a cordless screw driver with a second battery on charge.
The instructions are good but you will need to double check the small detail.
The meadowvale we got did have some poor quality finishes to the wood and appeared as if it was cut and drilled with a blunt drill and saw. That's the only thing I felt let it down. So the frayed edges I sandpapered down.
The four anchor stakes are required to pin the frame down to the lawn. This also prevents the frame from distorting during use and prevents any movement.
The whole frame once assembled is still light enough for a couple of men to lift into final position.
Would I recommend this product? .....Yes.
    The
    Nevertheless it's a good product
Read the instructions, pick a dry day and allow at least 5 hours!

My Nephew Loves It
  • This was a perfect gift for my nephews second birthday! From the moment it was built he fell in love as much as the rest of the family did. It wasn't to complicated to build at all, it is very sturdy so we don't need to worry when he be playing on the play-set on his own. Im sure the product will last for many years for even his little brother to play on.

Great Purchase
  • Very happy with the wooden frame, looks much more innocuous in the backyard than a standard issue gaudy Kmart swing set. I recommend using the cardboard box to lay out all the pieces and screws etc beforehand as this will reduce time immensely. With two people, it took us approximately 6 hours with a lunch break. We have also added sand underneath the entire play area and our eldest boy (3), absolutely loves it.
